My 8 AM lab this morning was canceled. I didn't find that out until I had already went there in the rain. Why can't professors email you, and in advance, so you don't have to wake up and waste your time?

Because that would take some effort on their part and they probably can't be bothered. Sad that they don't though. It's not like a bulk email is hard to do.

I know. All they have to do is select our class and send it. I think some of them get some joy knowing that you probley went there and wasted your time. They get even more joy from it on a rainy morning.

Risky pretty much summed it up. Lots of lazy professors around here. They don't cancel class, they just don't respond to emails... Doesn't matter if it is an extremely important question, they won't email you back. Nor will they be in their office. So finding them sucks, pretty much have to stalk them to ever get an answer...

Soooo I just sat in the waiting room of the ER for 3 hours because my gf's doc thought she might have pulmonary embolism. Turns out she doesn't, which is good, but I just lost 3 hours of my life....
